The Dyson AirWrap

14 Apr 2024

My sister gets the best and most expensive things for herself, but since I am the younger sister, I obviously get to use all of them. Recently, she bought the infamous Dyson Airwrap for herself and girl, it is NOT cheap.

Dyson Airwrap is a multi-use tool to dry, curl, and style your hair. It is suitable for all hair types and is available in many forms. Finding the right one with the correct attachments is essential to make the airwrap work for you. It can be used on wet or party dry hair to style it perfectly. It uses a technique called the ‘coanda effect’ which allows users to curl, smooth, wave and dry hair without the usage of extreme heat in less time.

The Big Question: Is It Worth Buying?

My sisters Experience:

I have noticed that Dyson Airwrap has become an integral part of my sister's hair care

routine. She uses it almost every day on her type 3A hair and this tool gives her a sleek and smoother finish than any other product she has bought in the past. It gives her the flexibility to style her hair in the comfort of her own home and offers everything she needs in one box.

One of the biggest benefits she has noticed is the reduction in hair damage. Due to the AirWraps low intensity heat has left her hair healthier and far less damaged than before. So, all these benefits do make the high price of this product seem a bit more bearable.

My Experience:

I have type 2A hair which is very thin, meaning I already have soft waves and I don't feel the need to use products in my hair to style it very often.

While I definitely enjoy using the Airwrap and see its usefulness, I would probably not invest in this product if my money was on the line. For someone like me, a more affordable alternative would suffice.

Is It Right For You?

The decision to buy the AirWrap really depends on your hair type and styling needs. Some people have thick hair, some have thin, some have wavy, curly or straight hair. The Dyson Airwrap is an all-in-one product and is durable, making it a long-term purchase.

If you have the money for it and more, buying the product may be a good investment. It could help you achieve that salon-finish look while keeping your hair healthier. However, if you're like me and have more manageable hair, do check out more affordable options before making the big splurge. Also, you could always just steal your sister's things.

At the end of the day, it's about what works best for you and your budget. Happy styling!
